Ingredients

  • 2 pieces pears, (about 1 lb), ripe but firm, halved and cored (Anjou, Bosc or Packham)
  • 2 tablespoons honey plus extra for drizzling
  • ½ cup blue cheese, crumbled (we use Danish blue)
  • ⅓ cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • ½ cup blueberries, fresh
  • ½ cup raspberries, fresh
  • black pepper, a pinch
  • 1 oz arugula (rocket), a couple of handfuls for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Halve and core the pears. Slice a thin piece off the rounded backs so they sit level, if needed.

  • Place the pears cut-side up on the tray. Drizzle the honey into the wells and spread it over the cut surfaces.
